This month I made a mini-packet of my Easy Morning Messages about Martin Luther King Jr. There are 5 messages in this mini-packet.
My monthly packets have 10 messages and have a variety of topics.
I have been getting some really kind and thoughtful feedback from teachers who are using these. Thank you so much! I love to hear my lessons are being used. These morning messages are a great way to add a little social studies to your morning with the added bonus of reviewing language arts skills. Perfect for those of you who have a crazy, hectic schedule this year. Once my students learned the format, they really looked forward to getting their daily message to see if they could figure out the "hidden" message. It was like a puzzle to them.
Here's a sneak peek at my packet about our friend, Martin:
I like to set up a check-in station. After students put away their backpacks and turn in their homework, the go to the check-in station to see what additional task they are assigned for their morning message. They also pick up their assignment at the check in station.
Nine different cards are included so you can differentiate your students' assignment.
Students will practice the following skills with the 5 messages included in this packet
- Long vowels
- ABC order
- Digraphs
- Suffix
- Letter format
- Adjectives
- Plural nouns
- R-controlled vowels
Answer keys are also included so you can also set this up as a self-checking writing center.
Cost: $2
